The Indiana Fever pulled off a huge 99–93 overtime win against the Connecticut Sun after trailing by 21 points in the third quarter. Kelsey Mitchell led the way with 38 points, her career best, while Odyssey Sims added key minutes off the bench. The win moved the Fever to 19–16 and kept them in sixth place in the standings.
The team, however, continues to deal with injuries. Caitlin Clark is still out with a groin injury, and her return before the postseason is uncertain. Sophie Cunningham also went down with a serious knee injury in the same game, raising concerns about player safety.
Clark has played just 13 games this season but has averaged 16.5 points and 8.8 assists when on the floor. Despite her absence, the Fever have shown resilience, with Mitchell and Sims stepping up to carry the load.
With nine games left in the season, the Fever will need to keep fighting through setbacks as they push to secure a strong playoff spot.
