PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles have decided to waive offensive guard Kenyon Green as they trim their roster ahead of Tuesday’s 53-man deadline.
Green, a former first-round pick in 2022, had been acquired earlier this offseason in a trade but never secured a starting role. He mostly practiced with the second and third offensive line units and struggled to make an impact, partly due to lingering shoulder issues. With the Eagles finalizing their lineup—especially along the offensive front—Green did not do enough to earn a spot.
There’s a chance Green could return on the practice squad if he clears waivers. This move aligns with the Eagles’ careful roster and cap management strategy as they prepare for a competitive season.
